  Day 1 – Guatemala City
Reception at the airport and tranfer to the hotel. Lodging.Day 2 – Guatemala City / Antigua
Breakfast. The city of Antigua Guatemala, nestled in a valley surrounded by the peaks of three towering volcanoes. Established as a colonial city in 1543, Antigua was the seat of the Spanish Colonial government for the Kingdom of Guatemala. While in Antigua you will explore both the restored colonial buildings as well as those left as ruins throughout the city. Among the intricate colonial buildings and interesting museums you will visit on our tour, you will explore the ornate La Merced church, the ruins of the Capuchinas convent and the San Francisco Cathedral, where pilgrims go to see the tomb of Saint Hermano Pedro. Wandering down the cobblestone streets of this magical city or through the central plaza to view the mermaid fountain, you will quickly realize why people call Antigua, the colonial jewel of the Americas and why most vow to return. Day 3 – Antigua / Iximche / Panajachel
Breakfast. On your way to Atitlan, visit the remains of Iximche, a fortified city which played the role of capital for one of the Mayas clans. You will discover, near the pelota playground, a pretty well kept temple which still have some interesting painting murals. You will cruise the Lake and visit the Santiago Atitlan village, which is a typical village nestled around its very particular church. The market offers a sight where the color is the main event: a unique place for the multicolor embroider hupiles. Return to Panajachel and the rest of the afternoon is free. Lodging in Panajachel.

Day 4 – Panajachel / Chichicastenango / Guatemala City
Breakfast. Departure to Chichicastenango, a native village which has kept all is authenticity. Its famous colorful market is open every Thursdays and Sundays. On those days, the natives come to the village marker and give the place an animated atmosphere. You will see the traditional costumes, and discovery the social and religious that go back to the ancient native civilizations. The Mayas come to the Santo Tomas Church to venerate the Catholics saints and their ancients gods. Return to Guatemala City. Lodging.

Day 5 – Guatemala City / Tikal
Breakfast. Early morning departure to the airport for your flight to Flores. Upon your arrival, transfer to Tikal, a huge archaeological site, surrounded by the lush vegetation. On this tour you will learn about Maya civilization and history, the rulers of Tikal and the construction of the city, the mysterious downfall of the city, and information on the flora and fauna of the region. You will visit the Temple of the Jaguar, Great Plaza, Lost World and then scale Temple IV to look out over the jungle and the rest of the site.. Returns to Guatemala City. Lodging.

Day 6 – Guatemala City
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
